Which kid hasn’t said that they are going to be a firefighter when they grow up? A firefighter party is going to be a hit with children of all ages.

Product Code: FIREFIGHTERPARTY

Description

Firefighter Party Decorations
Just fill up the house or garden with red and yellow balloons and cardboard ladders. Make this fabulous fire-truck if you have the materials and enough time!

Have a large cardboard box (the bigger the better) and cut off half of the top part. Cut a rectangular opening on the front side of the box (that is, the part that remained complete) to form the windshield. Attach the cut part below the windshield to form the truck’s engine. Paint the truck red and decorate with ladders and hoses. Use pie plates for the headlights. Provide the children with red fire fighter hats and watch them have lots of fun riding the fire truck!

Firefighter Party Crafts

Firefighter Stencils
Pour washable paint of different colors into cupcake trays, and have some sheets of paper ready, placed on the floor. You may cover the floor first with butcher paper. Provide paint sponges or stamps shaped like trucks, hats and hydrants. Teach kids to gently dip the sponges or stamps into the paint and make stencils on a sheet of paper. They’ll love to take their paintings home!

Firefighter Party Games

Play Fire Brigade
This game is suitable to play indoors or outdoors. Have four large buckets. Fill two of the buckets with water if game is played outdoors. If game is played indoors you can use crumpled newspaper, confetti or anything else that is easy to clean, as long as it fits into plastic cups. Divide the children into two teams and make each team line up at arms length away from each other. Place the two full buckets in front of each team and at the other end place the empty buckets. Provide one plastic cup for each team. The goal is to move the water or confetti from one bucket to the other, as fast as possible and without spilling too much of it. The first kids in each team will fill their cups and pass it to the one behind them and so on, until the last one in line empties it into the bucket at the end of the line. This is definitely a team effort as full cups will move one way while the empty ones will move the other way.

Reward winners by clipping a Fire Chief Badge on their shirt. They’ll love getting promoted to fire chiefs!

Firefighters Relay Race
This game can be played indoors or outdoors. You will need to draw two goal lines, approximately 25 to 40 Feet apart. The children will be split into two teams, and each will be assigned to a fire truck (any red truck will do). Each team will form a line that starts at the goal line. When you shout “Fire!”, the first kid in each team has to run truck in hand to the end line, turn around and run back to hand in the truck to the next in line in their team. The game goes on until all players have had a go. Our fire dalmatian dog-shaped suckers make great prizes for the winning team!

Firefighter Party Recipes

Bright red food like pasta shells in red sauce with yellow cheese is recommended for this party. Red drinks like grenadine and yellow lemon syrup in lemonade is perfect and refreshing!

Decorate your table with Fire Fighter tableware and finish off with a fire truck pinata.

Fire Truck Cake
The perfect birthday cake for a firefighters’ party! Bake or buy 2 small rectangular pound cakes. Cut one of the cakes in half. To make the cabin place one half on top of the other cake, aligned to one of the shorter sides of the cake that is still complete. Place the other half of the cut cake at the front of the “cabin” to form the engine. Ice the cake in red. Stick 2 round cookies to each of the longer sides of the cake to make the wheels. Use white frosting to make a ladder on each of the longer sides of the cake and to outline the windshield.

Firefighter Pinata
Use our Fire Engine Pinata or Fire Chief Pinata to accent your party decoration and add fun to the party. Fill your pinata with Fire Fighter Chief Badges, Mini Fire Hydrant Squirts, Fire Fighter Sticker Sheets and Fire Fighter Chief Badge Stickers.
