LeBron James' legacy has been definitely chiseled. The 31-year old basketball player will always be remembered for making The Cleveland Cavaliers win their first NBA Championship in their 52 years of history. James led the way to this accomplishment getting a triple double and scoring 27 points and 11 assists. He was unanimously named the MVP of the finals. Thanks to this accomplishment, he´s considered now to be one of the best players of all times.
LeBron James made the news this week not because of this fact however. It looks like the basketball star decided to opt out of a $24 million contract with the team he became champion with to become a free agent.
What does this mean for the Cavaliers and for the NBA universe? Will LeBron James choose another team? Apparently not. Rich Paul, James' agent, has been clear about his client's future: James is staying at the Cavaliers.

The reason why he decided to opt out of the contract is simple: he will earn considerably more money by doing a new deal with Cleveland rather than accepting the old one. If he plays his cards correctly (and he will) he can get up to 27.5 million. The Cleveland Cavaliers will have their beloved player at least for one more season.
