As you might know by now (if you don’t, click here to know more about the history of pinatas), pinatas are an antique Mexican tradition that spread through the United States since the 1960’s. American kids and adults welcomed this fun party game but modified it a little: they used pinatas of no more than 24 inches high while Mexicans played (and still do) with a 36-inch high or bigger pinata. The large pinatas that you see here are the original-size pinatas used South of the Border. If you want to play the pinata party game the real Mexican style choose one of our large pinatas.
