Kid Party Planning

Planning your party in advance means less stress and more fun! Avoid the last minute hassle of getting party supplies that you forgot to purchase, making more food for more guests than expected or coming up with activities to keep kids busy. Planning ahead also means lowering your party budget: you have extra time to compare prices and even make party favors and food yourself.

4-6 weeks before the party
- Ask friends or relatives to help you plan the party. Give them a task to be in charge of, such as getting the cake, finding a clown or buying party supplies.
- Determine the date and time of the party.

- Choose a location.
- Make a guest list.
- Purchase invitations and other party paper goods.

2-3 weeks before the party
- Send invitations. We recommend giving an RSVP phone number. Having an idea of how many people are coming will help you prepare enough food.
- Decide what party food to give.
-Make a list of kid party games and other birthday party activities. Let the birthday kid help with game ideas! Remember to purchase any materials that you may need to carry out an activity.

- Order the birthday cake and balloons.
- Purchase drinks and snacks.

Day before the party
- Prepare any food and drinks that can be made in advance.

The big day
- Pick up the birthday cake and the balloons.
- Decorate your party with balloons and streamers. Set the table with paperware matching the party theme and accent your table decoration with centerpieces.
